Editing Activity Application Form Fields and Instructions

The activity application form can be customized as needed.

Attention

Editing an activity application form can be complex. It is recommended to try this on your test environment before making any changes in production. You may also submit a support ticket to request changes to the activity application form.

Warning

Deleting fields from the application form will delete any data entered into that field on all existing form submissions!

Warning

Editing an existing field to change the field will change it in all places it is used.

To add instructions to the activity application form:

  1. Log in as a user with the "site admin" role.

  2. Navigate to "admin/structure/entity-type/course_application/course_application/fields"

  3. Click "Edit" in the Instructions row.

  4. Enter your instructions in the "Markup" field.

  5. Click "Save settings."

To re-order activity application form:

  1. Log in as a user with the "site admin" role.

  2. Navigate to "admin/structure/entity-type/course_application/course_application/fields"

  3. Use the handles to drag and drop fields as appropriate.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  5. Click "Save."

To add fields to the activity application form:

  1. Log in as a user with the "site admin" role.

  2. Navigate to "admin/structure/entity-type/course_application/course_application/fields"

  3. Scroll the bottom of the page.

  4. If the field to be added already exists else where on the site:

    1. Enter the name of the field in the "Add existing field" field.

    2. Select the existing field in the "Field to share" drop-down field.

    3. Select the widget type under the "Form element to edit the data" field.

    4. Click "Save"

    5. Fill in the settings as appropriate for the field. Setting vary by field type.

    6. Click "Save settings."

    7. Reorder the fields as described above.

  5. If the field to be added is a new field:

    1. Enter the name of the field in the "Add new field" field.

    2. Select a field type under "Type of data to store." For more information about field types see Field type definitions.

    3. Select the widget type under the "Form element to edit the data" field.

    4. Click "Save"

    5. Fill in the settings as appropriate for the field. Setting vary by field type.

    6. Click "Save settings."

    7. Reorder the fields as described above.
