Course (As a Course Object)

Courses can appear in the workflow of a course. For example, when a learner clicks "Next" in the course workflow, the learner can be taken to the workflow of a different course and then return to the workflow of the original course.

To add a new course to the workflow of a course:

  1. Navigate to the course.

  2. Click the "Course outline" tab.

  3. Select "Course" from the course object dropdown.

  4. Click the "Add object" button.

  5. Click the "Save outline" button

To reference an existing course:

  1. Navigate to the course.

  2. Click the "Course outline" tab.

  3. Select "Course" from the course object dropdown.

  4. Click the "Add object" button.

  5. Click "Settings" next to the child course object added in the above steps.

  6. Click "Content" vertical tab.

  7. Type the name of the course you would like to add as a child in the "Existing node" field.

  8. Click the "Update."

  9. Click the "Save outline" button.

To edit the new or existing linked course:

  1. Click "Edit instance" under the child course object added in above steps and complete the steps to create a course. See more about Courses here!

To send the learner to the course landing page or directly into the course workflow:

When adding a course to the workflow of a course, it is possible to select whether to send the learner to the course landing page or directly to the first course object. When sending the learner to the landing page, the learner must click "Enroll" or purchase the course if it is a paid course.

  1. Navigate to the course.

  2. Click the "Course outline" tab.

  3. Click "Settings" next to the child course object added in the above steps.

  4. Click "Content" vertical tab.

  5. Under "Course entry point" select either "View course" or "Take course." Selecting "Take course" will launch the learner directly into taking the course, without viewing the course landing page.
