Configuring Webforms

In addition to collecting information from the learner, Webforms have many configurable options that affect the behavior of the form.

To configure a Webform: 

  1. Navigate to a Webform.

  2. Click the "Webform" tab.

  3. Click the "Form settings" sub tab.

 

The following are options displayed on the "Form settings" subtab:

 

Confirmation message
Message to be shown upon successful submission. If the redirection location is set to Confirmation page it will be shown on its own page, otherwise this displays as a message.

 
Redirection location
Choose where to redirect the learner upon successful submission. The Custom URL option supports Webform token replacements.

 
Total submission limit
Limit the total number of allowed submissions.

 
Per user submission limit
Limit the number of submissions per user.

 

Status of this form
Closing a form prevents any further submissions by any learners.

  
Submission access
These permissions affect which roles can submit this webform.

 
Progress bar
Choose how the progress bar should be displayed for multi-page forms.

 
Preview page
Add a page for previewing the form before submitting.

Optionally, click the "Advanced settings" header to adjust advanced settings.

 

Show "Save draft" button
Allow leaners to save and finish the form later. This option is available only for authenticated learners.

 
Automatically save as draft between page
Automatically save partial submissions when learners click the "Next" or "Previous" buttons in a multipage form.

 
Show the notification about previous submission.
Show the previous submissions notification that appears when learners have previously submitted this form.

 
Submit button label
By default the submit button on this form will have the label Submit. Enter a new title here to override the default.
