Adding Slides to Home Page Slideshow

A slideshow is a promotional block that displays images and text. Each "slide" contains a headline, image and text. Each slide displays for a few seconds and is then replaced by the next slide. Typically the slideshow is placed on the top of the page. 

A slideshow needs to be added to the home page Dashboard in order for slides to pull in. 

If slideshow is NOT in place:

  1. Follow the Adding Dashboard content steps to add slideshow to home page.

  2. If there are no slides created, click "Create slides".

  3. Type in a title in the "Title field."

  4. Add content in the "Body" field. This content will appear at the left of the slide by default.

  5. Beneath the Image section, click "Choose File" button and upload an image that will appear to the right of the slide by default.

  6. Click "Upload" button.

  7. Re-order slides by adding a numerical value to the ‘Order’ field. Each slide of the slideshow must have a number in the order field to re-order slides. Slide with order number as 0 will appear first in the sequence.

  8. Fill in the common content tabs if necessary.

  9. Click "Save."

If slideshow is in place:

  1. Click "+ New" menu link

  2. Click "Slide."

  3. Type in a title in the "Title field."

  4. Add content in the "Body" field. This content will appear at the left of the slide by default.

  5. Beneath the Image section, click "Choose File" button and upload an image that will appear to the right of the slide by default.

  6. Click "Upload" button.

  8. Fill in the common content tabs if necessary.

  9. Click "Save."

  • Homepage, image-only: 990px

  • Homepage, accompanied by text: 400px

  • Group page, image-only: 891px

  • Group page, accompanied by text: 301px

Adding a fullscreen slideshow promo image

For the  fullscreen slideshow the slide will display the attached image across the entire length of the slide show.

  1. Follow steps 1-3 in the Adding Dashboard content steps to add slideshow to home page.

  2. Click on slideshow.

  3. Select the [image-only] slideshow.

  4. Click “Finish” button.

  5. Proceed to adding slides.
